oh yeah and it would be pointless to limit it from '94 to '06, as there's barely 10 drum set lines that came out in this period
I would have to disagree with the worst from Artstar. I would not put Imperialstar or Superstar (originals) on the worst list with out putting the rockstar on there first!!!

it's pointless to compare pro sets to entry-level etc. it's obvious that swingstar is worse than superstar and that supe is worse than a starclassic. i would rather ask questions like.. what's the worst starclassic in history? or what's the worst swingstar.. for me the ugliest one is the swingstar by tama 1995 model.

My way of looking at it is what kits would I actually own or consider purchasing:

1: Granstar (obvious)

2: Artstar 2 or custom

3: New Superstar

4: Starclassic Mirage

5: Starclassic Performers

6: Rockstars of any age

6 I wouldn't spend my money on:

1: Stagestars
2: Swingstars
3: Royalstars
4: Imperialstars
5: Starclassic maples or Bubingas (the hype has totally turned me off these things, plus they all look the same)
6: techstar

Of course, that is all just my opinion which shouldn't matter, and nobody should get mad if their kit is on my "wouldn't buy" list. It is all opinion, people.
<edited><editID>granstar26</editID><editDate>2006-9-9 9:33:15</editDate></edited>

were these made of basswood and had accu-tune hoops? basswood starclassics.. were these sc's any good? cause basswood is comparable to ph mahogany or poplar, as we all should know.
false advertising. they were all birch. remember the catalog way back
when that advertised superstars as having a ply of maple in them?
